India vs. Pakistan 3rd Match Group A Cricket Scorecard: Asia Cup 2023

India 266 all out, Hardik 87, Kishan 82, Shaheen 4-35

India's Batting Performance

India got off to a strong start, with Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma putting on an opening partnership of 97 runs. Kishan, in particular, was in fine form, hitting nine fours and two sixes in his 82-ball knock. Sharma also contributed with a solid 48 before he was dismissed by Mohammad Rizwan.

After Kishan and Sharma's dismissals, India's middle order struggled to maintain the momentum. Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant both got starts but failed to convert them into big scores. It was left to Hardik Pandya to provide some late fireworks, with the all-rounder smashing 87 runs off just 58 balls, including six fours and four sixes.

Pakistan's Bowling Performance

Pakistan's bowling attack was led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, who took four wickets for 35 runs in his 10-over spell. The left-arm pacer was particularly impressive in the early overs, dismissing both Sharma and Kohli cheaply.

Haris Rauf and Mohammad Nawaz also picked up two wickets each, while Mohammad Wasim and Rizwan took one wicket apiece. The Pakistan bowlers kept India's batsmen in check throughout the innings, never allowing them to get away from them.

Conclusion

India's total of 266 all out was a below-par score on a good batting pitch. They will need to improve their performance with the bat in the upcoming matches if they want to progress further in the Asia Cup.
